This September, Payne Rio Ford proudly participated in Ford Motor Company’s Global Caring Month, a worldwide initiative with a goal of donating 1 million pounds of food to communities in need.
Making an Impact in the RGV
Right here in the Rio Grande Valley, our team at Payne Rio Ford joined the effort through the Cans for Cash program. Customers were encouraged to bring in canned goods to support the cause—with special savings offered in return:
- 🥫 5 Cans = $5 OFF Service
- 🥫 20 Cans = $200 OFF MSRP on new cars
Thanks to the generosity of our community, Payne Rio Ford not only met but exceeded our store goal. We raised 450 pounds of food, going above expectations and proving the RGV’s generosity knows no limits. One of the highlights of this campaign was seeing our donations fill up the entire truck bed of a Ford Maverick, a powerful symbol of what we can accomplish together.
Driving Out Hunger Together
Exceeding our store goal is more than just a number—it’s proof that when the RGV comes together, we can make a real difference. Every can donated helped families in need and contributed to Ford’s worldwide commitment to drive out hunger.
Seeing the truck bed packed full of donations was a reminder that small acts—like bringing in a can—add up to something much bigger.
